VIDEO: Visiting Amer Fort, Traditional Rajasthani Thali & at Jaipur

With my friend Karan I headed outside on my very first day in Jaipur also to stop by a great deal of main sites including Rajasthan fort’s crown jewel and to eat traditional Rajasthani Thali!

We started our tour of this city. This is the place where the household of Rajasthan live. The palace was built between 1729 and 1732, it is a tradition and a residence.

Next up we swung by the Hawa Mahal, a sandstone palace that was built in the kind of a large wall as they watched street festivities to show royal women.

Into Torba restaurant we headed for lunch to try out some traditional Rajasthani Thali. It is very different from Indian food. A mixture of veggies, chutney’s and breads. . delicious!

From there we headed to Jal Mahal a palace which sits in the middle of Man Sagar lake. The palace is made of red sandstone and most of it’s submerged.

To finish out tour we headed in Rajasthan to Amer Fort, among the fortresses. It also has the largest wall in the world. It is a fortress and a palace and the highlight for me personally was that the Mirror Palace. Amer Fort was built in marble and red sandstone and the Maotha Lake adds a certain charm to the full fortress.

I hope you liked that particular tour of Jaipur! If you’d please give this movie a thumbs up, make a comment and subscribe to my own station for awesome journey content!
