As my first afternoon at Paramaribo, Suriname wound to a close, my boy friend Imro took me outside to have some Javanese Indonesian food that I still can’t quit thinking about. Then, we headed outside to find some Brazilian dancing! As I continue my exploration of the melting pot that is Surinamese food, come along with me!

Our day to begin, Imro took me to a place. It is one of the best places!
My Javanese Indonesian food feast began with rose milk with coconut, that was yummy and refreshing. It is a delicious Indonesian drink!
I had another one and a saoto soup with a gigantic shrimp within it. I also got a second drink that was like the rose milk, however, it was green rather than pink. It was just like condensed milk with an flavor!
I began with all the jumbo shrimp, that was amazing. The saoto soup came with a chili sauce and a carrot sauce and contained sprouts and tofu. The soy sauce was packed and the spice and a little spicy hit me a tiny hard. I added some real spice to the saoto soup, which contained a egg. The egg was nice and creamy and was so great with the tofu and sprouts!
I got a plate having a banana leaf and then moved outside to the buffet. I got satay, beef with potato and curry, chicken, thin noodles with chicken, some rice and bamboo shoots with coconut milk, and eggs . I couldn’t wait to dive into also had a plate!
I began with all the chicken satay, that had been tender and juicy. The sauce had been unreal! Once I was in Thailand, I obtained satay all the time, however, that was a little different from the Thai design! I went together with the beef with coconut, that had been coated in coconut and tender. I tried the chicken, that was cooked and was tender.
My Javanese Indonesian food feast lasted with some bamboo shoots, which were not so hot. Some tried with some wonderful rice. The beef curry had just the perfect amount of strength and was similar to beef jerky. I was enjoying the variety of the food! There was a samba, which was and had a great twist to it! The lo mein with poultry was fantastic.
I moved on to the shaves with pepper. I tried it with the egg. It had some greens in it and was not crazy. I had some fish, that I tried with some glazy soy sauce that required it to another level!
I went for some tofu with coconut, rice, and Carrots Oil.
It was amazing! It had been fried tofu drenched in soy sauce. It was crunchy, spicy, and very exceptional. It had been my favorite dish so far!
By that point, I thought I had been finished, however, the restaurant owner had other plans for me. He also continued my Javanese Indonesian food experience by bringing me a fried rice named picante, steak, some shrimp, along with veggies. The beef was tender and also had a mushroom sauce on it. It turned out to be a medium-rare beef.
The veggies contained lettuce, broccoli, and cauliflower and was yummy and moist. I took the shell off the shrimp. It was a little tough but it had been worthwhile! The shrimp had been barbecued and had flavor.
The picante came with a hot sauce that was just like a glaze. I tried the rice with a spicy dish wrapped in a leaf. It had been great, but spicy! I needed more rose milk to calm down the heat in my mouth!
We then headed back outside to find some dancers. It was just like a block celebration that is Brazilian. I had been too full to attempt it , although You will find vendors selling food. It was still early, so that there was not much going on in the beginning. I chilled had had a beer named Schin, that was mild but not bad. There were lots of people drinking and eating!
